Very returns

Hi,

I recently received a faulty product from very. I called up explained they arranged a return via courier as it's a large item. I took an unpaid day from work to wait in and no courier came.

So I checked my account and I had been refunded for the item under account adjustment. Anyway I called them up to re organise a courier to come collect the item and it was re arranged so took another day off work to have it collected. The courier came and explained he couldn't collect it and walked off.

They have emailed me an hour later saying that they haven't received the item and the credit is a conditional credit that I return the item. So I've called back to arrange another courier but it was cut off. I'm now at 2 days loss in wages which will cause me hardship to return this faulty item. Where do I stand on getting them to collect this as I really can't afford anymore time off and weekends I do have off couriers don't collect. It's causing me stress and worry they are going to charge me for items they won't collect and I have bad anxiety and it's making me worse.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

They need to arrange the collection at a time convenient to you.

If you cannot be there during the day during the week then tell them that.

You do not need to be out of pocket for a problem that is of their making, but having agreed to take time off to wait for the collection you may find it difficult recovering any of that loss.

There are carriers that will collect at the weekend, so insist that they use a carrier that fits with your availability.
If they cannot arrange that, then insist that they cover your lost pay should you need to take time off again.
  • Am I best to email this? They already have refunded my account but I don't want the hassle of the item here or them trying to charge me because they couldn't get it collected and it's too big for collect plus or I would have just done that
