joint account

Hi guys,

my partner set her current account up as a joint account so i can join and we can have all of our money in one place.

now i want to transfer all my incoming and outgoings to the joint account and maybe close my current account.

will this affect my credit rating in anyway?

You have already joined - when the account was 'set up' as joint.

Closing a long-standing account can have a negative effect, especially if it is your only account.
And it's advised to have some money in at least two accounts in different banks

Also, the joint account might have had some effect already as it linked you both financially, i.e. possibly affected negatively the one with a better credit history.
