Hi all.
Hopefully someone can help me.
A good few years ago my ex girlfriend took out a load of payday loans in my name. These were paid into a joint bank account.
I only found out about them after we separated. As I had no way to prove that it wasn't me who applied for the loans, I paid them all. Well so I thought.
I've just received my credit report and I have a CCJ for one that i missed.
I called the court and they gave me the company name. It turns out that the company (safe-loans) ceased trading and was dissolved a couple of years ago.
As the company company wasn't liquidated, there wasnt a liquidator appointed.
Does anyone know how I can get this removed from my credit file? I don't mind paying it. I just don't know who to pay?
Many Thanks

It would only be removed if you paid it within a month of it being applied.0

Paying won't make it go away, at this point nothing really will if the company is dissolved, you will just have to wait it out. Having that marked as satisfied will look slightly better, but in all honesty such large amount of payday loans will be crippling enough, and you may have to wait for them to fall out of file.0

Yeah, I just read that. Being marked satisfied would do.0

Well, to do that you will have to track whoever is owning the debt now, pay them and have them update the file. It may be tricky in your situation, but a letter to the company last address may be a good start.0

The rest are already off my credit report. This is the only thing that's showing as I haven't applied for credit In years.
I don't mind paying it so it shows as satisfied, I just don't know who to pay.0
