The uni allege they can do nothing further as it's with the parking company.
Why are you worried about DRP, THEY LIVE IN THE SEWERS and nobody talks to sewer rats.
So, the Uni agreed with First Parking to halve the ticket to £80?
and they can do nothing further.
Rather strange ..... that they do that so I must assume the UNI are on commission .
You can assume that the Uni have a contract with them and they can cancel the ticket
They would not like it to be known that they use scammers to extort money from students

Thanks.
Would you suggest only taking that line with the uni, that they are using F1rst Parking and DRP to extort money from students?
I've asked for the contact details of the person responsible for parking at the uni, but they claim the manager doesn't oversee the residential area car park so to send them any correspondence. Is it worth including other arguments as mentioned in the Newbies thread post #3 as they'll probably just refer it onto FP anyway? (can't post links as a new user, it seems)

You can try the complaint to the Uni, but expect a brush off. With F1rst, if you are too late to simply beat them at POPLA I would honestly just ignore them and laugh at the debt letter chain as we have done for a decade on here. I've collected those letters in my time; a template pile of amusing and hysterical red letters with tedious repeated, tired old phrases which are easy to search and see Google images of your exact letter chain.
How very scary (not)!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you.
One other point - if I send the uni a detailed list of why I believe the PCN isn't valid (using the templates in post 3), as my son has contacted them and said he parked while unloading, does this invalidate my argument about "No 'driver' Liability - The operator has not shown that the individual who it is pursuing is in fact the driver who was liable for the charge"?0 -
Yes if he already told them he was unloading, I would incorporate that into your complaint and argue that it is unworkable if students are penalised for unloading at Uni Halls.
Forget the no keeper liability argument (and they would not understand it anyway).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
