Sterling to Euro answer

I'm going to spend some time in Europe from the UK and wondering about my best option for exchanging currency for the longer haul rather than carrying a lot of cash. I was looking at some of the options. I don't have a credit card. I have a bank account set up with Natwest and Britannia. I'm just looking for a good option of relative ease and decent exchange rates.
I'm leaving in 6 days.
Thanks for replies in advance

Just get a Halifax Clarity credit card. Then pay it off every month by DD from your UK bank. You use it for every purchase you can and do not use cash unless you have to, you can also use it for cash withdrawals.
IMO there isn't a better way.

I have no problem with doing a local currency conversion and travelling, but I'd just like to have a quick option for either taking out more sterling to convert at a better rate than Natwest is offering or somewhere I can bank Euros quickly in the continent

Why not look at the copious advice already in the Flights, Currency and Car Hire Forum..?

Your best bet for cash is to get yourself to a Metro bank branch and have a card issued on the day which will allow free withdrawals within Europe. There won't be many other feasible options at this late stage. Did you not consider this any earlier?

Get the Metro Bank Account if you can, and/or sign up for Monzo prepaid via the link in the MSE article to jump the queue, load £100 and your card will arrive a day or two later. Top-up as needed with your regular bank debit card.
