Claims history

hi guys,

basically, my insurance runs out 28/02/2017. I'm going with with a company that only asks for 3 years claims history.

Basically, i had my accident on 18/03/2014 - and the question is "have you had any accidents in the last 3 years" - if i say yes, it asks for month and year. So, as from 02/03/2017 - it will be 3 years (going by months) since i had my accident - so am i ok doing this or do i have to wait until the 19/03/2017 to say, I've not had any accidents in the last 3 years?:)

Thanks

As you have to renew before the 3 years is up then yes it should be on the insurance, don't try and be clever with them, they'll find out about the claim (they can check the central database) and cancel your insurance which will cost you vastly more in the long run

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

You have to declare it. Your new policy will start 29/02, at that time, you still have a claim within the last 3 years.
