Firstly.....i know i am foolish!!
I am currently abroad right now(USA), & will be for the next year(Will also take in NZ & Oz). I have yet to purchase travel insurance, i did not know what insurance would suit for my trip, & how to find a good price....but i wish i had looked into it before hand. I said to myself "oh, i young, nothings ever happened before, why should it now" - but i know now thisis foolish.
Does anyone where's the best place to look, & are their companys that will supply me with TI affordably whilst abroad????
Thanks.

You need to look for backpackers insurance, as annual insurance will not cover you. Do a Google or a search on here, as it has been covered before.Gone ... or have I?0

try www.pjhayman.com - they have a range of policies and i'm sure one of them can cover u if you already left. Cor remember the name of it but have a gander or email them.
Edit: it's on the Travel Plus scheme - chose it from the "scheme information" drop down box on the left hand sideOut of Darkness Cometh Light, Out of Sandwell Cometh S***e...0 -

Yes: you can buy Worldnomads (see post 4) while abroad. They do not offer the best value for money, but at this stage you have little or no choice (unless you can get US insurance as a US resident).0 -
Insuremytrip also provides travel insurance while traveling worldwide including the USA.
As long as you are not a Canadian resident, the travel medical plans can be purchased at any time - even after departure.
Here is the link for the travel medical policies they offer:

Any questions, you can call. They are open till midnight M-F !!0 -
insuremytrip does not give a policy i can use for my trip. & world nomads at 600pounds costs a whopping 3times more than i would have paid if i had booked before with ACE etc ....would be almost the swame price to fly back for a day and insure myself with a cheaper provider then ..... surely theirs cheaper. I am realising how stupid i am now :-(0
