Burbidge kitchens

Has anyone ever had a Burbidge kitchen? The builder we are looking at using uses them and they seem very high quality but an internet search does not give up much!

Thanks

They are good doors but they only supply the doors.
They are also more expensive compared to other suppliers for the same thing really.
Your builder will still have to source his own carcass so it would also depend on the quality of the carcass he gets as to how good a quality kitchen it is.
  • Oh really? I didn't get that from the website... I'll head back over there and re-read.

    Thanks

Burbidge is a door supplier. Your carcases could come from anywhere really and you need to check this carefully.

Ideally steer clear of these component type operations as the provenance of the entire cabinet is unknown.

Burbidge doors do tend to be a little more expensive than some of the others out there on the market, but they do tend to be a little better quality. I deal with Burbidge, PWS, Uform and Multiwood and would always rate Burbidge higher than the others.

As others have said though, the quality of the door doesn't matter if the quality of the carcases is poor, so i'd be asking where they were got from and their specification before moving forward. You do get a massive variance in quality.
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
