I am after some advise regarding a parking notice. I simply refuse to pay the £100 ticket and decided to ignore the notice.
First of all, I was literally in the spot for 10 minutes, I took my shopping up as my allocated spot is about 200 metres away. I was parked in an unmarked bay which is currently being unused (along with about 30 others). There's no loss to the landowner what so ever.
The time stated that my car was watched for is not correct, I couldn't have possibly got back from work by the time the ticket was "watched from".
The company seems somewhat of a joke, it has renamed every year for the last 11 years. Becomes dormant and then re opens under another name, probably to dodge taxes. The company was also "dormant" at the time of issuing the ticket and was up until January this year. (I got the ticket about 3-4 months ago).
I have since written to them stating that the charges are not justifiable etc etc. (They've said that apparently it is to cover their running costs... the 'director' runs the business from home and there's 2 people on the books on companies house). I also said I would not be dealing with a dormant company, their excuse was that they do not need to change this until they have been trading for over a year (however a couple of weeks after the ticket they filed the yearly sheets to companies house and they were still dormant, they also keep completing yearly documents for £0 capital!)
What's the best way to approach this? I've heard from others that they sell the debt on to MIL who then forward the case on to the courts.

What you have posted is a "rant". It is completely lacking an any detail such as dates, why you were ticketed, whether you identified the driver or anything really that can help us help you.
Regulars would love to help, but read some other OPs and give us some better facts and details.0 -
2 cases now running with this lot , they left the IPC in november last year , what was the date of the incident , and was it a ticket placed on the car https://bmpa.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203629601-One-Parking-Ltd0

Hi all,
Can anyone help?
I have lived in my apartment for nearly three years and suddenly One Parking Solutions have become very active.
To enter the car park you need an electric fob and each flat has its own allocated parking.
The truth is I have never requested a permit from my landlord as it has never been necessary. However, OPS have been here almost daily and I have racked up several tickets for failing to display my permit despite parking in my allocated space.
My landlord has been on holiday within that period.
Do I have any grounds not to pay?
Thanks0 -
Errrm, LOL, let me think! How about:Do I have any grounds not to pay?
- because the private parking industry operate an 'outrageous scam' (Hansard)
- because OPS are a bunch of chancers who should infest any residents car park
- because OPS hardly ever sue people and are not the brightest bunch
- because no-one in their right mind would pay OPC, or any other PPC's scam charge
- because you've been there 3 years with a right to park that they are removing/restricting, against the terms of your landowner's lease and he passes those rights to you in your tenancy agreement
Don't you think when he returns from his holiday the LAST thing to do is beg him for a permit, to dance to the tune the PPC has set...
What you should be doing is asking him to lobby the Managing Agent to stop this abject nuisance against tenants.
Why not search the forum for OPS and read all the other threads? And read the 'sticky' (advice) thread near the top of the forum 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' as per my signature below (no link to a sticky thread needed).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
