Ppi on bhs store cards

Hi i had 2 bhs store cards 1998. I used resolver to see if i could claim back as i still have statement which says i paid insurance every month. However i got a reply saying they were a new company under new ownership and unable to assist any further with this as the old bhs no longer exists,is this true they can say this, can i take it any futher,

Yes they can tell the truth.

Complain to Genworth who were the underwriters. Be aware, they don't have to uphold your complaint either, so don't get your hopes up.

I just rang Santander 08001712171 and they checked any store cards I had with ppi the only one was BHS and they said they deal with this and will send out forms for me to fill in.I had no account details but they checked for me.
