I can see why you'd be annoyed, but I'm leaning towards the side of 'you knew it had a problem, not their fault you can't fix it as cheap as you'd hoped'

I suggest you ring round some local scrapyards to find one that's got your car and then head down with a toolkit and a tenner...0
