Fraud Barclays Business Debit Card

I am stuck in the infinite loop that is Barclays and would welcome advice. We have a business debit card on a Limited companies account. A £750 fraudulent transaction was made with Expedia. Now it then took two months and sending the forms twice before the fraud department did anything. They immediately rejected it as fraud, as we had a "relationship with the supplier". That makes no sense to me, I bought a £100 hotel room earlier in the year for work and not £750 transaction for a small business, that sounds more like an international trip-like money.

What are my rights? can I even insist that it is treated as fraud? surely if my card was fraudulently used in Tesco, the fact I had ever purchased something in Tesco wouldn't stop me being able to pursue the fraud. It seems very wrong to me and its a lot of money.

Thank you for your help

  • As this was a business to business transaction, the accusation of fraud is not cut-and-dried, I'm afraid.

I'd be seeking some professional legal advice if I were you.
