I get them several times a week supposedly from Royal Bank of Scotland & have had them from other banks too. I just delete the without even looking at them.0

I disagree - it's always good to warn people of the problem, as not everybody is financially astute.
My wife seems to get these a lot, and they seem to be getting ever more clever in the wording.0 -
If it is addressed to me personally I give it a quick look as it could possibly be genuine, but otherwise I just bin them immediately.0

Sometimes if I get a free 5 minutes I fill them out even though I've never had a Nationwide account! The man without a signature.0

i know some people are savvy when it comes to spam emails, but i also know that others like my dad would be panicing if he got this in his emails....0

If in doubt I would log onto the main nationwide web page (without clicking the link, just type into the browser)
Any genuine mailouts should be copied onto there, you could even find the "contact us" botton on thier site and ask if it's genuine.0 -

You really should avoid any response to fraudulent e-mails, and try not to open them if you can identify them. The very fact that you submit data means that the spammers now know the address they have sent the spam to is 'live', not to mention the spyware, viruses and potential information gathering software which could be installed on your computer just by interacting with these messages.
Clicking on links is also a no-no, even if you want to see where they go, as this also leaves your computer vulnerable to malware.0 -
