I seem to find so much conflicting evidence about student finance..hopefully someone on here can help me out
My son completed a HND in graphics last July and now wants to go to university to do a degree in September this year.
In general is he entitled to finance for the full 3 years or is it the formula I have seen bandied about .. 3yrs + bonus less already studied i.e. in my sons case (3+1)-2... 2years of finance allowed
p.s. is may be a honours degree or a BA
Thanks

Is there a college/uni who may allow him to do a top up year? My partner did a graphic design foundation degree which he then topped up to a full BA by doing a year at a different college.
It would be a BA, the honours is the same thing, just a course title I think.0 -
He would need to join the degree from the 2nd year at least.
If he fails any further years for anything other than mitigating circumstances, he may find himself unable to obtain a fee loan.
I am posting this with a caveat though. This is how it would've worked when I last did assessments, but that was around 6 years ago now. I'm not completely up to date on any changes in the regulations, but imagine this to be the case.0
