Liverpool...Things to do & Eat ..Cheaply

Taking the wife to Liverpool. Just wondered if anybody had any ideas of things to do which were not to pricey.

Also anybody recommend any cheap and cheerful plain english, Chinese or Indian restaurant in central Liverpool, especially buffets...

Many thanks

    Several Weatherspoons for cheap food.
  • Tsos Chinese buffet: http://www.tsosrestaurant.co.uk/
Not sure of any other buffet restaurants, some of the Indian Restaurants on Renshaw Street or Bold Street may do a buffet on a Sunday, but not certain.

Free things to do - Cathedrals, World Museum, Walker art gallery, Maritime museum. Depending on weather walk round the Albert Dock area and waterfront.

when are you thinking of and what area are you staying ? I like the Tai Pan in Hanover st (there are 2 tai pans) Tso's has been mentioned too. lots of museums . Have a google of things to do lpool or free lpool . Think about having a walk from town upto hope street . I think the area is underestimated for things to do and the journey (about 20mins walk) passes some good places and do the cathederals too . Worth a call into HO-ST on hope street no cheap but worth it . Some good beer stops too. Mathew St is always on the radar for woolys . enjoy . If you know when your here and what you like and rough age I could recommend better
 hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world
