Credit file jumped 208 points but didnt do anything

I checked my credit score which i regular do I haven paid anything off in ages but my credit score jumped 208 points up in the good direction leaving my score from being 174 to being 348 I am just trying to understand why is there any sites that give you the detailed report for free i dont wanna pay 14.99 to expieren or clearscore for it. I am trying badly to get to point where i can get a new car on finance and that will be the only thing on fianance but still lenders are rejecting me even though most car delears say it needs to be around the 350 mark do 2 points really make that much a difference of being rejected.

The score itself is meaningless. It provides a very rough indicator of how healthy someone's credit file is, but every agency uses different scoring systems and different limits, so it's impossible to compare one to the other.

Have you been regularly using credit and paying it off to increase your score? Another possible reason is that you may have had a default or black mark on your record from 6 years ago which has recently dropped off the file.

Either way, Clearscore gives you almost everything a regular report does. You can see existing accounts and closed accounts and find out exactly what's going on with them.

Credit scores mean nothing , as above you had something drop off your report

I know people who are in a financial mess with high credit score
