faulty just over 1 year

hi i brought a samsung subwoofer sound bar on january 28 2016 all was good but it has developed a fault i brought on line from currys well the online people are no help at all .

1. can i take it in to the shop and ask them to repair ?

2. i do not have receipt as because i moved cannot find thing at the moment

3 where do i stand can i use the consumer rights digital contents act ?

After 6 months the onus is on you to prove the item is inherently faulty.

If you bought it online have you not still got your confirmation email? You wouldn't have had a hard copy receipt that got lost in a house move would you?

You need some proof of purchase. So for example a bank statement if for whatever reason you can't find the email.

However as said above, the onus is on you to prove the fault is not down to wear and tear or misuse by getting an independant report. If Currys are sticking to their minimum legal requirements then you will need to go down this avenue.
