Heartless Excel

There is a feature in the "Money" section of today's Sunday Times showing just what a nasty company Excel are.
Back in 2011 a woman stopped at a car park in Prestwich to help a woman who was lying drunk and incapable in the street.. She waited until help arrived and then drove off . The driver is a blue-badge holder but received a fake fine of £30. She contacted Excel and was told to put her complaint in writing, which she did and heard no more and so assumed that it had been sorted out.
Roll forward to December last year when she discovered that she has a CCJ against her for £294.00 with just one week to go before the CCJ was finalised.
The journalist contacted Excel who refused to comment and said she should contact BW Legal, They refused to back down and the motorist reluctantly paid the £294.00.
As the journalist said :- "even if the company has the law on its side, surely no one could think that it is morally right to penalise a good Samaritan? "
I hope Simon Renshaw Smith sleeps easy in his bed.

The company does not "have the law on its side", it is a loophole in the law which is at fault.
We (the consumer aware), are trying to close this loophole, but the Government has its hands full making life difficult for small landlords and shopkeepers. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Exactly what we already know about that company. How people can live off (and grow rich from) dirty money is beyond me.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Simon Renshaw Smith is indeed the lowest that low life can get.
Slowly but surely he and BWLegal are being made to look idiots in courts and I have no doubts that this trend will increase in 2017
I wonder how his family feel about living off dirty money0 -
perhaps he is raising money to pay the "trace" team to find his father0

He could call Jeremy Kyle and get it done for no cost to him, and be on daytime TV - could be a win win for him.twhitehousescat wrote: »perhaps he is raising money to pay the "trace" team to find his father0 -
Which one? The one in his mansion or the one on his luxury yacht?I hope Simon Renshaw Smith sleeps easy in his bed. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
