I would like to treat my neighbours to a weekend hotel break somewhere in the UK. They've mentioned they enjoy visiting London but it would be nice if it's flexible as to location.
There seem to be lots of hotel voucher schemes about, but never done it before, and wonder if anyone has any recommendations?

It's rare to get better value than booking direct with the hotel. Depending on what you want to pay, you could try the Doyle Collection hotels (I like The Bloomsbury, a friend likes The Marylebone) which are pretty central (especially The Bloomsbury) and which are nice enough that you could happily spend the whole day in the hotel if you chose to, and walking distance to Shaftesbury Avenue for all the theatre shows.
Also worth a look are Superbreak who do theatre breaks as inclusive deals, make a nice package that way.0
