Lidl Athena PCN

Received a PCN through the post.
I have to pay £90. I didn't know anything about the charges or that I only had so long to do my shopping.
Do I have to pay this?
Any advice would be welcome.
I've tried reading the Newbie threads but it's all too much for me.

You're going to struggle in that case. You won't understand it by skim-reading. Good research is essential in dealing with this. It will not go away unless you deal with it.I've tried reading the Newbie threads but it's all too much for me.
Have you complained to the store? Have you complained to the CEO of Lidl? Do you have receipts or cc/bank statements to confirm you were a customer on the day? Do you have back-copies to prove you're a regular customer? Take with you/send copies of these when you complain. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

We help, but we are not able to do it for you.
If you can't read the NEWBIES thread, you would be asking a huge commitment from regulars here to start at page 1. That is why the Newbies thread is there.
By all means if you get stuck, come back for help. but you do have to show some effort yourself first. Alternatively, read through some recent threads that may be similar to yours to see what has been advised there.0 -
Thanks for both your replies.
I read through the Newbies threads and researched till 3 am this morning.
I notice that Dane Jesper Hojer is the new CEO of Lidl from the 7th of Feb 2017.
I could not find anyway to get his email address to get in touch with him.
Where can I find this information?
I have Fibromyalgia and it is hard for me to take in a lot of information.
I have just lost my Father and haven't even scattered his ashes yet and I am finding things a little hard to cope with just now.
I don't have the money to pay a £90 parking notice.
I found a lot of the information to be a little out of date,
I am aware of the Parking Eye versus Barry Beavis case and how that changed things.
I came here for help as I am genuinely in trouble and don't know what to do.0 -
As umkomaas has suggested start by complaining firmly but politely with the store manager and if possible take proof that you are a customer.0

I am genuinely sorry for your predicament but there is no easy way for you to avoid taking personal responsibility to handle this.
If you genuinely can't deal with this, get a clued up friend to help you on here to deal with us.
We can't work from the sparse facts you have given, What you have posted is a heartfelt cry for help but no more than that.
I urge you to read some of the other threads' opening posts to see what sort of basic information we need.0 -
Start by sending the IPC template from the NEWBIES thread to Athena. Copy and paste and send. Do not reveal who was driving.
Then concentrate on your complaints to the Lidl store manager and the CEO.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Dane Jesper Hojer is the CEO, but as far as I can tell, the UK CEO is Christian Haertnagel.

Only just sat down. Thank you for all the replies, I aim to read all I can here, complain then send the IPC 'template'.
Will keep you updated.
Thank you again x0 -
About 3 months ago I realised on the way round the store I had forgotten to scan the receipt for the parking on my previous visit.
I mentioned it at the till, and was told if anything came in the post to bring it to the store and they'd arrange to cancel it.
So maybe it isn't necessary to overdo things by writing to the CEO unless that simple approach fails.0
