BT Price Increases - Cancel Contract

With the forthcoming BT Price Increases in April.
I read in a computer magazine that BT have to inform their customers in writing of the price increases 30 days before they apply the increase by law.
It also says, that we the customer have 30 days from receiving the letter/email to notify BT to cancel our Contract without charge if we wish to do so.
Is this correct........
Thanks
