Sky Box instalation?

Not sure if this is where I should post but here goes
I have a spare skybox with card that we have hooked up to main dish my problem is I dont seem to be able to get channels 4 and 5 I dont want to ring sky has dont want to end up paying an extra £10 a mth for multi room anyone know how to set this up so I recieve freeveiw channels

    Not sure if it's the same with Sky, but with Telewest you have to register each STB with them in order to be able to use it, and then have them charge you for the priviledge, even though it's your own box!

    I think you'll need a Freesat Sky card.

  • The card I have is what I used to use for free sat before getting my new box and dish installed.
    I had no problem with it before

    Hmmm, strange. Have you tried adding the channels manually?

    Services > System Setup > Add Channels > Find channels.

    Channel 5 11.7585 Horizontal 27500 2,3

    Channel 4 12.1680 Vertical 27500 2,3

    I think the card has to be paired to the box by Sky to pick up the full range of free channels which takes a few minutes over the phone. They shouldn't charge for multiroom as it isn't multiroom. Multiroom is when you want the same paid channels as in your existing sky box. You could always say you want the free channels in your caravan or wherever.
