If somebody is willing to pay a 7.9% fee to do something like this there is to my mind only one assumption that can be made.0

Your question has been answered, best of luck with your endeavours.
Thanks. I'll let you know if it works. If it is successful, it should yield £2.53 of instant profit per gift card "processed".0 -

(1) The person can't do simple maths,
(2) The person thinks they have found a way of making more than 7.9% on the purchase of a gift card.
Which did you assume?0 -

It won't work because NS&I block deposits from these cards. You'll need another plan if you want to cash it out without paying any fees.
If you do find an arbitrage involving those gift cards, I sincerely advise you to keep the details away from the public domain. With what you have posted in this thread, I can pretty much work out what your route is likely to be - what will happen is briefs will go out to prevent the purchasing process before long. Also, there are probably a lot of people out there sitting on cards that want cashing out (or want the "free" money), who will hammer any routes that are spoonfed to them and get them shut down very quickly!0 -

Thanks, yes, I acknowledge all this. I plan to give it a try anyway. Worst case I'll end up having to spend through a £50 Visa gift card on normal spending, which isn't that big a deal as a one-off.
Is there a way to delete this thread from the Forum?0 -

Probably hit the report button to bring the request to the mod's attention.
With this nature of arbitrage, the way forward tends to be information exchange via PM. Just be careful who you approach, some people just want to take without giving anything back!0 -
Moderator - please can this entire thread be deleted?
I contains nothing of any real use to anyone.
Many thanks.0 -
