The only danger is if you are within 1 to 2 m of the antenna (at the top) for any length of time... passing infront of them regularly is no issue.

In terms of the effect of the view - all the networks are expanding for 4G, depending on at what stage this mast may be in, it may get more cabinets at the bottom, or replacement cabinets, or possibly some removed and the footpath reinstated. It may even (small chance) get removed if local sites can cover the coverage needed as the networks are now sharing sites more and more - O2 and VF are sharing sites, so if there are some that are not needed, are removed. TMobile and Orange, now been EE, again, if its an old Orange site, there is a chance that it could be removed, although most have been done by now.

Have you got a pic of the site, or even a google streetview, if its accurate to what is there at the bottom?
  • I do have a pic - I'll get it up at some point.
I got a very prompt reply from the council which is good, but there's nothing they can "do" about it if people have concerns.

Not sure what you'd expect the council to "do"? Presumably the planning consent for the housing was granted after the planning for the mast (I note the committee report for the mast's planning application says there wasn't any nearby housing at the time). In which case, the time for the planners or anybody else to argue that the mast would adversely affect the amenity of the housing was while the planning application for the housing was being considered. And we're (presumably) beyond that point now.

If you don't like the mast, I can only suggest you buy somewhere which doesn't have a mast nearby. You've already acknowledged the health concerns are unfounded, so is it just how it looks?
