What is with people. Never understand where people get off trying to stir stuff for others - agree that at least the move puts physical miles between you. That should do it :rotfl: another helpful tip in the meantime is to 'unfollow' them on FB. Means you are still 'friends' but don't get to see their ridiculous views on things
(or in my case a cousins fianc!es scary over made up face every two minutes :rotfl:) you'll be so much better off without that sort of nonsense in your life.

Nothing to do now but wait. We've
- provided answers to the further buyer enquiries
- raised further enquiries with our seller
- signed and returned the contract for the buyer
- chased our mortgage offer
- freed up one further week of Mr F's diary due to a cancelled business trip :T So, all going well, we could be 5 weeks away from completion
We're just going to have to ignore the gossip about our buyers' financial situation and keep our fingers firmly crossed. What else can we do. Thank you all for the support and advice - it really helps.

It's usually Mr F's forte but today I feel decidedly grumpy. Could it be the heat? Could it be the menopause? Could it be house move stress? Or could it be people taking the proverbial
We have arranged a low key drinks evening at the pub tomorrow for a few friends and neighbours as we don't know whether we'll have the chance again before we move. Several people have asked whether they can stay or whether we can give them a lift  Noooooo! We are moving and have enough on our plates - how about you give us a lift?
Mr F has felt the wrath of Fortune as he didn't listen to me saying "No", "No", "I think not" and "That'll be a no then" many, many times to the latest request and told them they'd be welcome  He's had to go back and retract the offer.
Mr F thinks I'm over-reacting and can't see a problem but I don't want have to spend tomorrow cleaning the house and looking after people. I just want to pop down to the pub for a relaxed supper and share a few drinks with friends - stress free
In addition, we have to get up at 5.30am Sunday morning to get Mr F to the airport. So we're not intending for it to be a late one and I don't want to have to fit in with anyone else's timetable.
Grrrr, grrrr, grrrr, grrrr.
... feel a bit better for that actually... perhaps a quiet sit in the garden with a medicinal glass of wine is in order. Or two...

I'm late to the party Fortune - as ever!
But oh my gosh you were right to be grumpy.
I don't expect it was pleasant, but well done to Mr F for retracting his erroneous offer; although I agree he shouldn't have made it in the first place.......
I hope this evening goes swimmingly, and you leave your friends with good memories - and have a good supper!!
Don't envy you on the early start in the morning though.

I braved the weather to have an impromptu coffee with a lovely friend this morning. I paid for coffee and friend paid for cake
So nice to spend some time in the company of someone who wishes me well.
Unlike the Toxics who have been gossiping about Mrs Buyer's employment position. It appears they are relishing the possibility of something going wrong for us. What awful people they've become. I'm not waiting for the move to cut them - I don't want them in my life a second longer
We had a good turn out for drinks on Saturday and it was lovely to see some good friends. We have lots of offers of a bed for the night if we want to come back anytime and lots of promises of visits to Shropshire
I got the unexpected chance to speak directly to the originator of the gossip and it seems there is no imminent risk. Mr Buyer came round yesterday to take some photos of the outside of the house so it doesn't seem as though they're expecting any bad news.
Another stone lifted today - our mortgage offer has been issued :j I haven't seen it yet but it is definitely on its way.
I've chased as much as I can now so it's back to waiting... wish I was better at it :rotfl:
