Can anyone tell me if this is correct we have economy 7 a white two rate (day rate and night rate) digital meter and a radio teleswitch group code 96
The teleswitch comes on to heat up the storage heaters and water emersion at
2.00 5.00
8.00. 10.00
12.30. 14.00
21.00. 23.00
Giving a total of 8.5 hours
The meter seems only to count up the night rate between the hours of
22.00 24.00
2.00. 8.00
Giving 8 hours
But if you look at the times the heating is on via the teleswitch and what is being counted by the meter as night rate the meter is only counting up a total of 4 hours on the night rate the rest is at the higher daytime rate. I have confirmed this by taking meter readings when the teleswitch is on. I am I wrong to think whenever the teleswitch is on It should trigger the meter to count the night rate.

E7 is a two rate metering only (day and night).
What you may have is an E10 set-up or legacy set-up which has been switched to an E7 tariff and meter without properly altering the teleswitch timings. The fact the e7 meter is digital supports this. Is the teleswitch old (i.e much older than the digital meter)?
This seems to have caused an issue with your cheap rate timings.
You need to contact your current supplier with regards to the teleswitch to see if it can be adjusted and/or replaced.0
