How to fix Acer E5-571 keyboard issue

I have a problem with some keys on my Acer laptop. Keys q,w,e,r,t,y,u,and i are fine, but o returns 0=, p does a backspace delete and there are similar issues on other rows. When I plug in a USB keyboard that works fine, although a few days ago I did have trouble getting it to read from USB. I emailed my local repair shop who suggested a Windows 10 reinstall (£50) and possible new keyboard (£40). However, I subsequently put Ubuntu onto a flash drive and booted from that and the issue remains, so it seems to me it cannot be Windows. I thought I would buy a new keyboard on Ebay (£9) and try to install it myself, would others agree that is the best course of action?

Yup, keyboard electronics.
easiest way first, windows on-screen keyboard
bluetooth, or usb keyboard
But the hardest and best is a real keyboard replacement, probably purchased from ebay
think this may be what you want youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_1091133151&feature=iv&src_vid=ysEMjTPp4hA&v=DpawPQrqIq40
