Right, ive clicked the drop down menu, clicked "Google" as my search engine, all the others are unticked, but when I try to search, it defaults to bing search. Yes, ive searched the web, & done all that "Disable Cortana" stuff & every other suggestion but nothing works. Any clues? Ta.

To Remove Bing
- Move the mouse cursor inside the search box at the top right of the Firefox window and click the down arrow next to the provider's logo.
- From the dropdown list, select Manage Search Engines....
- Choose the "BING" and click Remove
- Click OK to save

Andy's advice is on the button for changing the default browser (if say you clicked a link in an email in Outlook).
Be aware that Win10 operates some anti trust practices with regard to setting MS Apps as default and resetting them to default at a later date. Please be nice to all MoneySavers. Except it isn't, the first thing I tried,(in my post) was the drop down menu, which I of course set to Google, bing is unticked, I
cant remove it as the "Remove" box is greyed out. Thanks anyway. Ive even set it to FF add on "Google default", but it still goes to Bing.!!0 -
Update.........managed to get the remove box "unGreyed" & have removed bing & all the other SEs, & set it of course to "Google", & then restarted ..........Guess what, it still goes to "Bing"!0

So Bing reinstalled and FF won't let you use any other search engine?
Makes no sense, but, we'll see if we can figure it out.
If you type a search in the search box and you get the drop down to choose where you search, can you click on google there and get it's search results?Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
