New day - New Parking eye scam found!

My new best friends!

Firstly, I don't park on private land for fun just so your aware!

Parking eye ticket received for last week. Popped to the local Mecca bingo... thinking it opened at 9am, arrived at rear car park at 8.50.... walked to front, waited 15 mins, went back to car to get phone... saw it opened much later.... left as had other things to do!

Ticket machine is inside venue, venue shut, no way of registering car!

Complete scam!

and yes I'm after advice how to appeal it! I have had dealings with P/E before and have ended up paying the court claim as I was scared of ramifications! However how now educated myself a little and won't be doing that again!

Have you a shot of the parking sign?

Clearly, you can follow the standard appeal in the NEWBIES thread for now, but the real crunch point will be court where you would base your case on the actual events.

Yes, just send the usual appeal online from the NEWBIES thread, to get the POPLA code. No point doing anything else except complaining to MECCA Bingo, who probably cancel these every week.

As a footnote, Rank/Mecca seem quite good with these. In 2015 I assisted my son-in-law (based on advice on this site) on a Rank/Mecca car park where he'd used the 'app' to pay for the parking but had not updated the app with his new car registration. As expected, PE's system spotted no match between ANPR and registrations paid (in fairness they couldn't) but Rank cancelled it as soon as they saw proof of payment. Slightly different circumstances but this does seem to be one company where the dog wags the tail of the PPC and not vice-versa. I have of course told him to keep the cancellation notice until 2021 !

one is approved by government ministers , one has government ministers as shareholders

and lets not forget , PE were set up with a government business loan , and the government had 8% shares untill paid off
