It has 240 1 star reviews (as bad as you can go), I know some people complain about anything on TA but 240 1 stars would delete it from my list before I even started.
Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy

I have no personal knowledge of this resort but a quick glance at Trip Advisor reviews shows 66% rated it excellent and the first few pages are all complimentary.

the last 3 posters may not have seen that the OP was in Feb 2017.

Yes I did but the new poster said he/she was going to this hotel. The original complainant did not come back to update. Probably because they made no progress with the issue.

black_wings, I think you should've probably kicked up a fuss there & then. I've been to Mexico a few times & it is very humid! During the second trip they changed us to another hotel, not due to humidity but another problem. TUI had said that if you book one RIU you can use all others, it was a lie, luckily I'd kept the email & used it against them. At the new hotel it was really humid to a point where I couldn't actually see the mould, but water was running down the walls. I changed rooms after a few days. Also if you can take a look at last minute holidays you'll get a much better deal than £3000  We only paid around £1200 for 13 nights last year, I met people who'd paid between £3-£4000 for exactly the same holiday as us, except they did 14 nights. All the best with your claim!

The OP hasn't logged on since February, and since it all happened over 18 months ago I suspect it's been resolved or forgotten about.

    Bit late, but was great.
Food was fab, really really good for an AI.
Room was clean, big & really nice.
Beds were good - I don’t say that lightly.
    No mould or rust.

My only “complaint”, it’s a long way in from the highway & the only way to get out and about is by taxis. Many other hotels have the highway & so bus route much closer to them.
