Euro car parks - pay or court

Hello,
I met my colleagues in a Euro car parks car park in November. They all parked and paid to do so whilst I waited in the car park for them. I was there 26 minutes, and didn't leave the car. I then got a parking ticket for £100 for not. Using a ticket. I appealed this and it was rejected. I then appealed to Popla and the rejected it too. I told Euro car parks that I would pay the reduced rate of £60, but not £100 when I only waited in the car park for 26 minutes. They said no, I have to pay £100 or go to court. What should I do?

''Euro car parks - pay or court''
LOL! Neither are appropriate!
ECP don't sue anyone and nobody here pays ECP! You will not get a court claim, you will now be in 'ignore the debt collector letters' mode (see post #4 of the sticky thread 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST').
Shame you didn't come here earlier - we don't lose POPLA appeals v ECP but we word them differently. No worries, it is only ECP and I've ignored them myself and laughed at their desperate letter chain.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Where on earth did the urban myth that sitting in the car is not parking come, from it's just ridiculous, and if that's what you put in your appeals no wonder you failed.
I suspect you were spotted by ANPR, of course greedy scammers will not accept the reduced cost why should they when they can now bombard you with scary scrap paper in the hope you pay up.
The threats of court as CM says are unlikely to come to anything, you are now in ignore mode for the next six years, no one on here would advise paying the Muppets.0 -
Did Euro Car parks actually take you to court? or make a county court claim against you0

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.
for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the House of Commons recently

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
