Am actually embarrased to ask this but here goes.. when I put a reply on a thread it shows up with the 'edit' and 'quote' boxes at the bottom right hand corner whereas all the others seem to have a 'thanks' box (which I like to be able to use) Now I'm not after thanks BUT somehow they appear anyway by some kind souls HOW!!! It's just a mystery to me, as are all these clever little icons people use in their posts. Oh well....

You can't thank yourself so everyone else can see yours but you can't...............I don't have one on my posts either;)

As regards the icons in the your posts you need to change your settings in your UserCP which is in the beige bar all the top. Once into there go to edit Options and down at the bottom of the options you will find one for Message Editor Interface, change this to Enhanced Interface and save changes.

You will then find when you go to reply you will have a white smillie in the top row of your reply box. Click on this and a drop down menu of all the smillies will appear for you to click on.
