Budget insurance

I have just received a letter from Budget Insurance asking for confirmation of NCD for a Volkswagen Sharan, giving a policy number and premium. Very puzzled as I don't have (and have never had) a Volkswagen and my insurance for my car is not with Budget!
I phoned the number on the letter and quoted the policy number provided. The adviser asked me for identity details including my name, address and date of birth which were apparently consistent with their records. I don't recall ever having insurance with Budget.
I advised that it is not my policy and that I would return any further correspondence to them.
Should I be concerned re identity issue?
