Credit rating for renting a flat/house

Hi, I'm going to be renting a place next Feb and i was wondering do they check your last 12 months or last 6 months? Ill have my overdraft cleared in a few months but i was wondering what they check?

A letting check can only be used to verify your identity and state public data about you i.e. If you have CCJs are bankrupt. They can't see your financial account status as your not applying for credit.0

Thats cool, was concerned that a £500 overdraft might stop me getting a place, but it will be well cleared by the time i apply next Feb0
