Google Idiocy

Saw a report on CNBC this morning about a seven year old girl's letter to 'Google Boss', their reply has gone viral now, BUT the airheads redacted her address but left the Postcode in plain text, Dear me someone may be fearing for their job by now.

I've just looked it up and found the CNBC article. The picture of the letter - and you're right, the post code is not redacted - is captioned "Courtesy of Andy Bridgewater" who I presume is the girl's father.

It seems the father, who originally shared the letter on LinkedIn, is the one who has made the error here, not Google. However, that said, before publishing it, CNBC, or whoever ran the story first, could have mentioned to the father that the post code was still visible.
She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?

Yeah sounds like the father is to blame, mea culpa. Multiple sources have picked up on the "cuteness" of the letter and the damage is now done. My apologies to Google:D

He must have done some more redacting as the letter on the BBC website story has the postcode blacked out too.

Yes, Google should have completely removed the entire address from the letter before posting it!

I did recently take @debitcardmayhem off my ignore list, that was a mistake ;)
