Gearbox shouldn't need any updates unless you are experiencing any gearchange problems.
A good competent indy mechanic (not a fast fit joint) should give you change from £100 for these two jobs, and worth getting that mechanic to clean and lube up ''properly'' the front brakes whilst he's there, the rears are drums and should be as new at that mileage.

i took my car to my local garage rather than the dealer even when it was new as i assumed dealers are only interested in selling rather than repairing - and also would avoid any of those chain places like halfords and kwikfit!0

Brake fluid change, have you had it done in the last 5 years? If not yes do it.
Gearbox service.. 100% get it done unless your going to be selling it sooner rather than later and crossing your fingers it doesnt fail. Gearboxes need servicing.
Aircon, get it fixed if it stops working.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
