PCN how long after dispute

Hi i got a penalty charge notice on the 1st of Oct 2016, i appealed it the same day.

on the 14/2/17 the council eventually got back to me and said they are upholding it and i need to pay

so it took them 5 Months to get back to me is it still valid, do you have to responded and reply so many days after i lodged the dispute.

    Councils have six months to get to 'Notice to Owner' stage but this tardy response can indeed be criticised, if this was a reply to an initial challenge to a windscreen PCN. Ask pepipoo for more advice but you MUST show the PCN, all small print.
