gym contract cooling off

Hello all,
I'm looking at signing up to my local DW fitness and I was wondering if I could clarify a few things.
Firstly do you get a 14 day cooling off period if joining online?
Secondly does that cooling off period still apply if you go to said gym, for example I sign up today - go and decide its not right for me does the cooling off period still apply to cancel?
My concern is that as it's the only gym local to me and my town it will be extremely busy (so much so you can't get access to a machine) in peak times. I've been on a tour but only at 3pm so its not a clear indication of the peak times

Read the T&C's but generally no, if you sign up online you have 14 days to cancel yes, but if you go then you have started the service so the right to cancel is gone.0

Requesting they begin provision of the service within the cancellation period doesnt mean you lose the right to cancel. It just means you're liable for the cost of the service provided within the cancellation period. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
