Parking Awareness Services/Vanquish Debt Collectors letter. Help please??

Hi sorry if ive posted this in the wrong place, im new to forums in general.
I overstayed by about 40 minutes (not intentionally) in a blackpool carpark on 17/07/16, a few months later i got a letter from Parking Awareness Services saying i need to pay a £60 parking charge or the amount will rise. Ive ignored this and a few months later got another letter saying if i dont pay a debt collector will be in touch.
So i got a letter on the 9th of this month from Vanquish Debt Recovery saying i need to pay £185 or legal action will be taken against me. Do i ignore this too?
Parking Awarenese Services are part of the IPC and Accredited Operator Scheme if that helps? Im totally new to this so any advice will be great cheere!

You should not have ignored the original parking charge. That advice has not been given here since the law changed in 2012.
It is however safe to ignore debt collectors because they have absolutely no power whatsoever. The Sticky thread for NEWBIES explains why it is safe to do so, and also the process you should have followed/should follow if it happens again.
All you can do is wait to see if you get real court papers from the parking scammers in the next six years. Don't ignore real court papers, but come back here if you need further help.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
