I did consider these but they look, well, a bit naff!

My wife had one in her last car. They are a bit naff.

She has a Kia now with heated seats.

I've had heated seats in every car I've owned in the past 20 years. Worth every penny!

My latest car has a heated steering wheel. I never thought I'd use it, but it is lovely on cold mornings and when my hands are sore (I think I'm in the early stages of arthritis).

Try looking for winter pack (ford, VW etc). Or top of the range japanese/korean cars.

Old SAAB's and Volvo's, and a lot of cars with leather seats.

Plenty out there for less than £1000, so £6k wont be an issue.

  • I take the pee out of my DH cos his new BMW doesn't have heated seats, but my 14 year old beetle does :)

If I am ever in a position to afford a new car, it would be heated seats before anything else as an extra. I can't stand the heating in cars, stuffs me up and makes me feel car sick. Going to work when it's -7, heated car seats are a godsend

My Vauxhall Vectra had them and it was a bog standard low spec 1.8.

You don't get it so much on small cars, but bigger cars come with more standard equipment for the fleet market.

My wife is looking to sell her Mini One Convertible and get a used car for <£6k. She really benefits from the heated seats in the Mini as she has recurring coccyx pain. Heated seats generally seem to be the hallmark of a luxury car (i.e. way out of our budget) so any ideas on a usedcar in our price-range that has them?

Needs to fit a pram in the boot, preferably under 60k miles, ideally hatchback...

    Thanks.

    You can buy retrofit kits...

My VW Up! has them and it's a great little car. Not sure if you'd fit a pram in the boot though.
