My last W7 update was Jan 10th, system is checking daily, seems strange to go so long with nothing.

edit. Just found a news story that Feb updates delayed. https://www.sevenforums.com/news/405295-february-2017-security-update-release-delayed.html

Having thought about this, I checked my own updates and I hadn't had any since November 2016. Clicking on "Search for Updates" produced the usual interminable wait so I did what I always do in these circumstances, turn off Windows Update Agent (WUA) in the services panel and then download the quality roll-up update, in my case KB3207752 and install it. Wait 10 minutes and WOW, loads of updates - well 3 more. Strangely the laptop that lives in the same room and uses the same Wi-Fi connection had updated itself!

I have seen quite a few times that Winupdate gets constipation, usually end up having to do 5 or so at a time until I can find which one is causing the blockage. Then do that one by itself, it usually required a reboot and then of course when all done Micro$oft says there are 2000 more updates found.

Also had that problem on one laptop where WinUpdate itself was damaged.

I will never understand what there has not been a class action in the US against M$ for realeasing software that is vulnerable to attack. Must cost so much in productivity and they have had around 30 years to make their software secure.
