Have you been off sick at all? My employer uses a points system with only the top candidates being interviewed. If they decide to interview 5 people and 5 people have a perfect score then they are the only ones who have a chance of the Job. Even one day off (99 points instead of 100) can mean no interview. And a day off could be something like a shift swap that wasn't properly recorded.
It has resulted in a situation where an internal job that was quite skilled went to someone with no direct experience and no secondary experience because all the experienced staff had absences, disciplinary's, accidents, etc.
