I know your obviously similar to me in your views.
You have a child to support so obviously you need to think first about you guys and how things will work financially.
Don't know if it's feisable, but have you thought about going back to study in September? Could give you something to look forward to, plan for the future and choose a course that could really progress you ? Funding is actually decent and there's help avaliable with rent. Mabye something to think about, that way you will have a focus !0 -
Hadn't thought about full time study but I do plan to do some part time stuff. Money wise we are fortunately OK so I could . just not sure what I'd study. Thanks for the idea definitely worth considering.0

Worth having a look ! There's so many courses on offer now. And a benefit would be you also get all the school holidays while he's at the early stage of high school.
I done it have 2 years left until I graduate, but the best decision I ever made. I will finally be in a profession I enjoy at the end of it.0 -
Aced2016 this is starting to sound appealing. I guess even full time courses would allow some time to work on the side and having never been to uni when I was younger I do quite fancy giving it a go.0

Go for it ! Why not, might be the best thing you do

Good luck !0 -
i have been in this very position.
The way I look at it is that even though I think they should be kept locked up the fact is they're out there ,so someone needs to try and do something with them in the hope it might reduce the chances of them reoffending (although with very few exceptions it doesn't..)
I do have a big problem if they're given priority over others for housing etc.0 -
How come you know when others don't? And how does it help other people's wellbeing to know about this?Fireflyaway wrote: »I also feel uneasy that there are people who are interacting with said type of person completely unaware. I am struggling to understand your boundaries, as are you.
you don't like working with certain people but have/are staying, when you say you don't need the money.
It is not about leaving it is about staying.
Why are you still there?
What has changed? A couple of months ago you were just fed up...
Did you know then just could would not say anything and have staye a couple of months?
Until you understand you won't be in a position to move on.
moving forward if it matters how do you ensure that where you work, study or shop in the future won't have people you don't consider acceptable to be around.
We could explore the whats's acceptable people boundaries in case there are others that need to be on the list, not sure you are ready for that.0
