Your credit rating should not affect anyone elses unless you have financial links with them, i.e. joint current or savings account, joint mortgage, joint CC.
I doubt very much that your debt would affect your daughter's credit rating, unless you had financial links or have the same full name, date of birth & address which could potentially cause misidentification.0 -
i personally do have joint acc/mortgage etc and i believe having a "black listed " address could cause problems for anyone associated with that address. when we applied for our mortgage there was a problem due to someone my oh had shared a house with years earlier, although it was sorted eventually it did take some time! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. As I said, a credit record is personal. Addresses are no longer "blacklisted" as in the past.
A person associated to the address will only be affected if you have a financial link with that person.0 -
Hmm sorry coming in on the end of this conversation..
I requested one of those free annual credit check and my husband did too. My linked addresses came up fine his came up red from his mothers address and the date was after he left it, his family are not very honest could it be they took something out in his name? It was the month he moved out so mail was still coming there and he was the only one working at that address?0
