Options
This is probably not the place to be BUT I can't find one to fit...

My income has improved, When I joined this site I'm sure I had to put my income,
How do I change that? How do I inform credit agencies I'm better off ?
Thanks

It's very definitely not the right place, but to provide some sort of answers:

    1) This site does not need to know your income so forget about that.
    2) I've just checked my own Experian report and there's nothing in it about income so I'd imagine they don't care what you earn. What they are interested in is how you handle the credit that you have access to, which should improve if your income is higher and you don't just blow it all.

None of the three credit reference websites: Experian, Equifax or Call Credit asks about your income. Mortgage companies certainly would.

Might be worth you reading this MSE article about Credit Reference Agencies.

I'm wondering if this is a question about the MSE Credit Club?
I don't know but it's quite likely that it may have included a question about income when one signs up.

Pretty sure clearscore asked my income, i put made up figures and it did affect my "score" Bit of a shock that putting a really high number have me a great "score" and putting a really low one reduced the wifes "score".

But the score is meaningless and the credit agencies do not need to know your income.

Seems i have switched lives with debitcardmayhem, my income was 2000% more than i am on now which is 0 :)

They are CREDIT reference agencies, so use credit and pay it back.

Every time I paid off my cards I got my credit limit increased, sometimes doubled.

Instead of spending on your debit card put it on your credit card, then paid it off just at the end of the interest free period. It shows them you are managing your credit.

At one point I had a credit card company agree to transfer £15 to a zero percent card from their own card that was a badged version, along with other debt. They then added a further £12k on top, I did not ask for it.

Just remember one thing, credit is a disease and the credit card companies want you to be in a position where you can service the repayments but not pay off the debt. They they stick you there and say you are over extended so no more zero.

If you manage to pay it off, what do they do? Increase your limits so you can again afford the repayments but not to pay off the debt.
