Well done Tesco travel insurance

It is not often that a travel insurance company does the right thing and when they do they deserve recognition. Just before Christmas my wife collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital. After tests the hospital advised it was just a faint. Our GP disagreed and wanted further tests. Murphy's law applied as our annual travel insurance with Tesco (backed by Ageas) was due for renewal. The policy was renewed but with an exclusion for any condition related to the 'faint'.
In January we were still waiting for the further tests but my wife was suffering ongoing symptoms. We went back to our GP who advised against foreign travel. We were due to fly to Vietnam for a cruise on the Mekong delta later this month. We contacted Tesco travel insurance immediately. They reassured us that as the holiday was booked and paid for before my wife collapsed they didn't see a problem subject to a medical report from the GP. We submitted the documents this weekend and today had a phone call from the insurance company to confirm that the claim would be met. So a big thank you to Tesco travel insurance for all their help and prompt service.

Where do you get that from?

Travel insurers are subject to the same regulation as all other insurers!
