So, EnergyHelpline's collective is out, and as hinted to by last week's "HotUKDeals" post, EDF won the 1 year fix.

It isn't that great a deal though (for me at least) - neither me or my mum in a different region are any cheaper than our recent fixes in the last 2 weeks.

I am assuming that this is the same as The Daily Telegraph collective switch powered by EHL with EDF Simply Fixed March 2018 and Green Star 24M as the joint winners?

At least, the EHL website didn't try to suggest that there was a saving to be made - nor did it suggest that it was the cheapest. In truth, the increase for me would be 27% if I switched.

It really is time that the Government stopped talking the talk and actually did something to prove to consumers that this level of increase is justified. I sense that they (the bulk of MPs at least) failed to appreciate the true cost of recent Government policies on consumer bills.
