Parking Ticket - Flashpark

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on a two flash park tickets.

I have received the two tickets for parking in a local carpark that has a 4 hour stay limit.

The carpark has been used by myself and colleagues to park during work hours. (over 4 hours) Some of my colleagues have been parking there for 15 years with no issues and I have been using the car park for 6 years. The Flashpark signs replaced previous broken signs and have been there for around 2 and half years. In that time I did not receive any warning or tickets.

I am happy not to park there again, but feel that the owner cant just suddenly start to enforce the signs.

Any advice on ho to appeal would be appreciated.

Thanks

absolute rubbish (that advice is over 5 years old now)

in the current climate various parking companies are chancing their arm in court on a daily basis , so FLASHPARK may well do the same , they have 6 YEARS to do so , using an MCOL

follow the advice in the NEWBIES sticky thread and dont listen to p*****d up armchair lawyers who are just out of kindergarten and know sweet F.A. :)

so similar advice to this other recent flashpark thread (did you look for others on here first ?)

That's fine if you want to follow old and out of date advice. The advice to ignore has not been given here since the law changed in 2012.

Who.'s car park is it, is it attached to your workplace? is it a council car park where they think they can allow a PPC in to run it as a private car park.

As for Everyone is telling you to ignore it, why not ask everyone to read this forum, and the parking prankster blog. If everyone knew about the private parking industry then no one would pay and the PPcC house of cards would soon come a tumbling down.

Acronyms are explained in the NEWBIES thread. Please spend some time reading it to understand the process you should follow.

  • Hi Its not attached to my workplace, just nearby. It's a town council car park. Not a district council.

when did it change from a council car park to a private one? , you may (if you check) find that there is still a council parking order running on it

as per your first post: but feel that the owner cant just suddenly start to enforce the signs.

umm yes he can! , now find out the owner

I did tell you to read the NEWBIES thread so you get up to speed with these basics , we will help but spoonfeeding is off the menu , especially when you could have googled it

and find out who owns that car park asap , especially if it is the council
