I ordered an item from amazon was done through basket although its a third party seller. however after purchasing the item i found out that the persons seller account is hacked through looking at the scamazon facebook page. So ive been on to amazon about 3 or four times to try and get the order cancelled since the payment is only sitting as authorisation held. as in pending but not gone completely from my bank. Unfortunatley I seem to keep going in circles as every time i try to explain to amazon not to send the seller a cancel request email since there is now been three of those and no reply with no cancellation or anything (obviously). It seems like amazon support are not interested in cancelling this item even though they themselves KNOW the account has been hacked.. the problem lies with the fact the sellers storefront still has not been taken down until it gets resolved. there are like three to 4 other sellers accounts being hacked which are still on show on amazon marketplace... this is unacceptable and right now im completely and utterly stuck as what to do for the cancellation to take place ... any help would be appreciated.

Really is that simple.0 -
Just login to 'your account' on Amazon, then choose 'view orders', then cancel your order.
Really is that simple.
However, if the OP has circumvented Amazon and been e-mailing direct to the third party, you are correct that cancelling through his Amazon account is a simple matter.
Involving Amazon Support may well be unnecessarily complicating things, but the OP will need to return and clarify.0 -
How long ago did this happen? If it's been ongoing for weeks then it needs escallating if however it's only been a day or two or even just a few hours then you need to take a step back, calm down and let them process things. If the seller has been hacked they may well be trying to retake control of their account before they can action any requests, they may also have hundreds to work through which will take time.0

You have sufficient concerns to go digging after purchase but didn't do it before purchase?0

Sympathise with XlordB. I ordered goods from Amazon Marketplace from a highly recommended and reputable shop (c1200 excellent reviews). Order was confirmed and then cancelled (three times) by Amazon (latest being overnight). This caused me to become suspicious. On phoning Amazon today I am told that my Amazon account has been hacked. The shop website was already hacked; Amazon had informed the shop previously but had not taken down the 'hack', which means that other customers could continue to walk into the trap. Now I have to chase up all banking details saved on Amazon etc etc. The shopper guarantee offered by Amazon is apparently worthless and their interest in my predicament is not what I would have expected of a company which promotes customer service so highly. "Sorry this happened but you have to sort it out yourself". I did nothing irregular or wrong; simply used the marketplace to buy from a long standing and reputable shop and, in doing so, had confidence in the guarantee offered to me by Amazon. It would seem to me that there are real problems with safety and security associated with using Amazon marketplace.0
