Hi

I've been reading posts for weeks and just signed up. Can anyone help with my problem? Sorry if its long winded but it goes like this. I received a renewal quote from More Than for £369, so I shopped around at confused.com and they gave me a quote of £240 from, More Than! would you believe!. Trouble is when i tried to take up the offer on More Than's web site it wouldn't let me register. Have rung MoreThan's customer services six times to try to get them to give me the insurance at the confused.com price and they keep fobbing me off? Has anyone got any suggestions? and just as an aside does anyone know why Confused.com can give me a quote from my own insurers at £129 less?

    Strange things insurance companies.

Try writing to More Than and address it to the MD. Someone will intercept and should actually do something!

Hi - the reason MoreTh>n won't let you register is probably because the software recognizes you as an existing customer from your address and date of birth.Try putting your address in words rather than numbers eg Ten instead of 10.Keep the rest of the address the same. This could save you the £120 you mention. As for the difference in prices insurance companies usually price it cheaper for new customers. The existing customers have their prices hiked up if they just decide to renew without shopping around.
